To mark this pivotal moment, we’ve launched a special podcast miniseries presented by GoodLife Fitness. Emma Maltais: Emma Maltais is a forward for PWHL Toronto and a prominent member of Canada’s national women’s ice hockey team. Her remarkable debut season in PWHL earned her a nomination for Rookie of the Year. Emma’s journey includes playing on all-male teams in her youth, which contributed to her skill and toughness on the ice. She has won gold at the Beijing Winter Olympics and multiple IIHF Women’s World Championships, solidifying her as a rising star in women’s hockey.

Emerance Maschmeyer & Geneviève Lacasse: Emerance Maschmeyer, a goaltender for PWHL Ottawa, boasts an impressive collegiate career at Harvard and is known for her stellar performances in international competitions. She has achieved gold at both the IIHF Women’s World Championship and the Winter Olympics. Emerance continues to excel as a professional goalie and is celebrated for her contributions to the sport on and off the ice. Emerance is joined by her wife, Geneviève Lacasse, a former goaltender for Canada’s national hockey team and a two-time Clarkson Cup winner. Her career highlights include Olympic and IIHF World Championships gold medals, showcasing her dedication and success in women’s hockey. Geneviève retired from professional hockey to join the PWHL front office, reflecting her ongoing commitment to supporting the growth and development of the sport.

Brianne Jenner: Brianne Jenner, captain of PWHL Ottawa and a seasoned pro hockey player, is a two-time Olympic gold medalist recognized for her MVP performance at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. She played a pivotal role in the early days of PWHL, advocating for its establishment and fostering its growth. Brianne’s influence extends beyond the rink through her hockey academy, where she mentors young players and champions the advancement of women’s hockey both locally and internationally.
